Talking about my "Pixel-Art"

Hi!

As you may have noticed, i won't be updating this site as often as i update my other accounts, I'm currently using this blog as a more "personal" place to talk about different topics, and today I felt like talking about my actual pixel-art... art!

You may know me for my FNAF FanGames, that's probably why you are here, but earlier this year (Jan 2025), I wanted to make a foxy pixel art, mostly for fun, I didn't plan to start making these as i do now, it was just an attempt to do something new.

I liked the result of this foxy one, so i wanted to try something that would be a bit more difficult:

...So i made springtrap! I barely ever did "big" pixel arts until i started making these, most of my pixel art until now was just sprites for games and not much else, so this is definitely something new for me, but i think the result was pretty good!

And now this is something i do every few weeks when i feel like making a new one!

Something i like to do is to experiment with my art style, you can see that the springtrap one is has a bigger focus on the character than the previous one, as it was to see if i would be able to make something like that, you can see in the step by step image that i had to redo the sketch before i could do the final result.

I'll explain what i tried to do with each of my pixel arts:

N. Foxy: With this one i tried to improve at drawing the endo, you can see how the springtrap endo was just a single color.

Scrap Baby: Tried to improve the shading and shadows.

Toy Bonnie: Wanted to do the same character i did 10 years, as it was one of my oldest pixel arts, it was made in just a day, it also had a better background than the previous ones, and better shading.

Lefty: Accidentally kept the borders in the final result, instead of just using them as reference, but it seems that people liked it as it is the one with the most likes on Twitter (Known as X for some reason), this one has improved lighting, and i started to apply the "color overlays" to the whole pixel art instead of just the background.

Toy Freddy: An attempt to make use different colors or something like that, the glow for a few parts is different than before, probably the weakest one so far as it was rushed.

Dreadbear: first one to take months before i forgot about it..... actually thats not was i was trying to do, at first it was going to be like the first ones, with similar shading, but when i finally continued making it, i went for a more......................... how do i explain this.... realistic? It has more colors and effects than all the previous ones, i liked the final result!

Popgoes: This one is like a combination of the first ones and the new ones, i liked the shading for this one, it looks nice but doesn't have that much detail, a balance between springtrap and dreadbear, i also got rid of the "border that glows", which was replaced with a single color border.

Mangle:  This one feels different, the colors are warm, and the line art has a bigger contrast with the colors, this is also the first time that i tried to add a reflection!,,... NEVER AGAIN! that was a nightmare, i had to redraw it multiple times until i had a reflection that i liked, it was the hardest one to make so far but i really love the final result, it may have been a nightmare to do, but it was worth it.

Ralsei: Just wanted to do something simple with a different series, i worked with a more limited color palette, this one is probably the one that took the least time to make, i think it was 2-3 hours.

Update 1.8.25 [

myPOPGOES: I was planning to do a surprise minigame release based on mypopgoes, but i didn't have enough time to make it, so instead, i decided to make a pixelart for the anniversary! At first the idea was to just make a sprite, but in a different style than the in-game sprites, but then i just made it big as the previous pixel-arts i have made. I didn't make a background and no color overlay things were added, just a few colors with simple shading.

It feels refreshing to do something other than game dev (i won't stop making games, just taking more breaks from them), it kinda feels like when i was making fnaf fanart in my notebooks during 2014-2016, i don't remember why i stopped drawing, but im happy to know that i can still do it years later!

But why am i doing it now?...,, I have no idea! It just happened, at some point i started to consider the option to make the lobster game in this style, and im still thinking about it, not sure, but hey, at least i finally made a concept art of the main character of the game that looks decent! Not posting it yet, i want to make sure if this style is going to be used for that game or not.

Here's every single one as of today (July 16, 2025). Thanks for reading!
